Adam holds a B.S. from Cornell University in Design & Environmental Analysis, concentrating in Human Factors & Ergonomics.

When editing, he’s privy to the equally absurd and mundane footage the research cameras catch in the field. When he’s not wielding tools in Premiere, Benjamin can be found digging through record crates.

    Brett brings years of expertise on the client side. Starting in finance, he found a knack for doing qualitative research for new product development, and contributed to game-changing financial innovations. Brett currently serves on the board of Keepers of the Waters.

    Craig’s history with Envirosell since 1990 includes having served as a Project Director and later V.P. of Research. He holds a B.A. in environmental psychology, and an M.A. in English from the University of California at Davis, as well as an M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. Originally from Texas and California, Craig managed to drop his Texas accent immediately upon arriving in the Big Apple. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, daughter, and son.

    Deborah holds a Journalism and a Psychology degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Based in the NY office, she manages inquiries from all over the world, from media seeking expert opinion to corporate clients and trade associations. She is the hub of Envirosell Global licensee communications and manages a database of our history more than 25 years old, allowing us to understand key differences in the way consumer behavior has grown and changed. Additionally, she manages speaking engagements and consulting assignments for our CEO, Paco Underhill, the creator of The Science of Shopping.

    Diana came to Envirosell as a trained theatre director and filmmaker. After two years as the assistant director of the Media Department, she joined the Project Team with whom she designed and conducted field research for the next ten years. She has studied shopper behavior and store design in places such as Seoul, Istanbul, Oslo and countless American cities. She still marvels at the many ways her theatre, film and travel experience has informed her understanding of human behavior in the shopping experience.

    Elvin studied Sociology and started her research career at Ipsos in 2007 with prior experience in public relations and voluntary social projects. Elvin enjoys traveling, eating and dancing Argentine Tango.

He has a BA in History from St. Bonaventure University and currently lives in Manhattan, enjoying time working on his paintings, bicycle riding, travel and being with family and friends.

    John has been part of the field staff for over 15 years. A lifelong New Yorker, he received his BA in Cultural Studies from SUNY Empire State College. He taught in NYC public and private elementary schools and still tutors math to children. He has worked on hundreds of Envirosell jobs, touring the world team-leading in-store research for clients in varying industries. Outside of Envirosell, he toured the world as the guitarist in the band Codeine.

With over ten years of R&D experience in sensory, psychophysics and consumer research with CPG companies, Kannapon dedicates time to advance the science of consumer research, partnering with North Carolina State University to mentor students in the field, and was invited by Thai government to lead a seminar on consumer research and innovation.

In addition, she runs an educational non-profit organization for at-risk teens. She is married, has 3 cats and a dog.

    Mark is a graduate of Vassar College with a degree in Psychology. After graduating, he worked at Harvard Medical School coordinating research focused on the etiologies and pathways of different psychiatric disorders. His work at Envirosell includes studies for large beverage, electronic, and retail companies. Prior to joining Envirosell he worked for a major pharmaceutical marketing and advertising firm, helping develop brand image and implementing brand strategy for their blue chip accounts.

Paco spends most of his days on the road, as a featured and keynote speaker on six continents. Today he is known as one of our era’s forefront retail anthropologists.

    Theresa has a lengthy (continuing) career in theatre and television, during which she has toured internationally and performed in 49 of the 50 states. A born and bred New Yorker, she holds a B.A. in English from Wagner College, where she also studied Music, Theatre, and Education. She joined our team in 2007, and her background in the Arts, in tandem with her travels, provides her with a skill-set uniquely suited to our research. She is also a full-time mom to her 2 year-old son and part-time sounding board for her television writer husband.

    Timothy has been a Team Leader for 15+ years, during which he has researched for some of the largest clients in Envirosell’s history, and is the creator of most of our concept illustrations for our clients’ ideation sessions and reports. Outside of Envirosell, Tim has authored and/or illustrated more than 25 children’s books, including the long-running ‘Capital Mysteries’ series published by Random House, with two others optioned as feature films.

    Tina Kim is the project manager of Envirosell Korea. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. She loves traveling- especially if there is beautiful nature to be seen.

    Having spent almost half his life working at Envirosell, Tom is considered a “lifer”. His first career was in the theatre where he worked as an actor, director and producer. He believes this was perfect training: theatre creates an external expression of the psychological world; Envirosell examines the behavioral world to reveal the psychological one.
